Apple and OpenAI Establish Billion-dollar AI Partnership

This agreement is expected to be announced during Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in 2024, which is scheduled for June 10. According to the report, OpenAI would provide Apple with powerful AI technology, as well as the integration of its virtual assistant, ChatGPT.
While the exact terms of the agreement remain unknown, further information is expected to be divulged during the WWDC event. This allegation is consistent with previous assertions by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who stated that Apple and OpenAI were working together to implement ChatGPT into iOS 18.
Furthermore, the article says that if the agreement is successful, OpenAI might see significant financial rewards. Although it looks that OpenAI would not profit directly from the partnership, there could be lucrative secondary opportunities, such as charging users for ChatGPT usage or persuading Apple consumers to subscribe to ChatGPT Pro.
In addition to this collaboration, Apple is apparently looking into other ways to embed AI throughout its product ecosystem. AI functionality for Siri, the Safari browser, the Photos app, the Notes app, and other macOS applications is among the planned additions.
