DMCC, the free zone and Dubai Government Authority for commodities trade and enterprise, has introduced the DMCC AI Centre, a novel innovation platform designed to encourage the practical implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) and the creation of real-world applications in the MENA region.

During the launch event, DMCC officials gave information to more than 60 important guests, such as Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), Dr. Marwan Alzarouni, chief AI officer of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), as well as ambassadors, government officials, AI companies, and other key players in the industry, explaining the services and benefits offered by the center.

Khalfan Belhoul emphasized Dubai and the UAE's dedication to becoming a worldwide AI leader by 2031, as stated in the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence. He emphasized that the establishment of the DMCC AI Centre marks a significant achievement in this endeavor, establishing a space that not only draws in new businesses but also promotes creativity and strengthens Dubai's position as a leading hub for AI and emerging technologies.

Located in the Uptown Tower headquarters of DMCC, the AI Centre will be part of a recently combined hub with the DMCC Crypto Centre and DMCC Gaming Centre. Dubai Media Office reported that this state-of-the-art facility will include innovative co-working areas, advanced meeting spaces, and a dedicated showroom for AI solutions.
