In the product exporter's yearly report for the monetary year ended March 2024, Nilekani said that fears regarding the ascent of artificial intelligence causing human extinction have descended, as there is more noteworthy clearness on the innovation now than 18 months ago.
“People have accepted that, like any other general-purpose technology, be it electricity, nuclear energy, the internet or even a discovery like fire, Gen AI has enormous potential for good when explored and advanced within the guardrails of responsibility," said Nilekani in a letter that's part of Infosys’ FY24 annual report.
The Infosys co-founder added that consumer AI would vary from big business AI, as the previous could be bundled in manners that would improve on human existence and make it more useful.
“Not unlike the smartphone that brought the magic of apps and touchscreen to billions, consumer AI will push the envelope of usability, convenience, and accessibility for everyone," said Nilekani in his letter.
Enterprise AI, then again, would prompt a test as enterprises would need to orchestrate information inside their frameworks so it is consumable by AI, said Nilekani, adding that the information result would must be figured out how to guarantee factual responses and insights.
