“The outlook on genAI-based services adoption around the world in the coming year is positive,” Subha Tatavarti, chief technology officer, Wipro Limited, told ET. “We see opportunities in improving productivity by leveraging the learning abilities of AI in the areas of call centre support and software generation. In the long term, AI will disrupt every industry, and as a result, every business will eventually become an AI business with a specific vertical focus.”
AI services such as AI model training and data preparation will gain steam in the next five years and will be critical in helping enterprises capitalise on the full potential of AI, Tatavarti said, as per economic times.
She claims that generative AI will make precision medicine, precision agriculture, and hyper-personalised marketing more prominent, while its conversational capabilities will enable truly smart buildings and smart homes.
“In 2023, generative AI took centre stage as a mainstream trend. In 2024, we will realise its true potential and value. It will be a common thread throughout all other technology trends,” said Kunal Purohit, chief digital services officer, Tech Mahindra.
Purohit believes that generative AI will continue to be a "game-changing agent" in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and retail, making business-to-business enterprises' processes, products, and performance more efficient, while also enabling creative businesses to unlock creativity at scale and improving customer experience at contact centres.
