Wistron to Fund rs 1,500 crore To Set up laptop Manufacturing Unit

The minister said the company has sought 32 acres of land for the proposed project, and the state government is considering providing the required land in the surroundings of the Bengaluru region. The minister said the company plans to commence work related to setting up the plant in July and aims to start manufacturing laptops by January 2026, as per livemint.
Patil further said the Wistron plant will be the first of its sort unit to fabricate workstations in the state. The unit will be adjusted to Industry 4.0 norms with a completely robotized office and will make workstations for all brands.
The minister stated that the plant will also produce Internet of Things (IoT) components and EV-related parts, and that more than fifty percent of laptops produced here will be exported.
Patil likewise featured that this move isn't just about the development of hardware, it is likewise about encouraging development, setting out work open doors, and situating Karnataka as a forerunner in the gadgets producing industry.
